AVID - College Research and Presentation

Spend some time answering the following questions about 3 universities you think you'd be interested in attending.

1. High School GPA requirement
2. SAT/ACT Score requirement
3. Average teacher-student ratio
4. Public vs. Private School?
5. In state or out-of-state tuition?
6. Cost of tuition per semester/year
7. What is the school most famous or well-known for academically?
8. What is the school's reputation overall?
9. Any other additional or interesting information

THESE ARE A GUIDELINE FOR YOUR RESEARCH, YOU DON'T HAVE TO USE EVERY NUMBER YOU FIND - BUT WE WANT A FAIRLY COMPREHENSIVE OVERVIEW OF YOUR CHOSEN UNIVERSITIES.

After you have this information, you will put it together in a presentation.  However, this shouldn't be a boring presentation where you just read off a bunch of information, you can combine some of this information in ways that make it more intriguing.  Perhaps you'll start with some slides showing your three picks and then explain some interesting things about those universities.  Then you can explain where it is, why you want to attend that school and how difficult it is to get in to these.  You can find an interesting way to show this information.

Overall, the idea is for you to organize this information in a way that will be interesting for us to watch and listen to as your audience - not just up there reading bland facts.
